Two men and one woman arrested after cocaine worth €4m seized in Kildare and Wexford

Two men aged in their 30s and 40s, and a woman in her 40s, have been arrested after over €4 million in suspected cocaine was seized.

On Wednesday, an operation was put in place with personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Revenue Customs Service.

This operation involved searches of a business premises in Co Kildare and residential addresses in Co Wexford and resulted in the seizure of a total of 58kg of suspected cocaine.

The suspected cocaine has an estimated value of €4,060,000, subject to analysis, gardaí said.

The two men and one woman were arrested pursuant to Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 in relation to facilitating and enhancing drug trafficking activities for an organised crime group.

They are currently detained pursuant to the provisions of Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Garda Stations in Kildare and Dublin.

The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
