530 people are on trolleys across the country on Monday, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

387 patients are waiting in emergency departments, while 143 are in wards elsewhere in hospitals.

The hospital with the highest number of patients on trolleys is University Hospital Limerick, with 63 people without a bed.

29 people are in the emergency department, with 34 people elsewhere in the hospital.

At Cork University Hospital, 53 patients are without a bed, with 46 people in the emergency department.

At University Hospital Galway, 52 people are waiting on trolleys, with 37 people in the emergency department.
