Luas Green Line will gradually resume full service from 6pm

Luas Green Line services will resume gradually from 6 pm this evening.

They will operate with a frequency of 15 minutes until the end of service at 12.30 am.

Red line services are running as normal.

The operator of the service, Transdev, is apologising to all customers and the travelling public for the impact of the service disruption.

It said maintenance teams and engineers have worked “around the clock” to address the issue within the “critical low-voltage safety system known as the 48-volt system”, which caused the Green Line power failure.

In a statement, Luas customer service told The Irish Times that engineers identified the fault lies within a “critical low-voltage safety system known as the 48-volt system”.

Maintenance teams and engineers will remain on site as services return.
