A teenage cyclist, injured in a crash in Waterford City last weekend, has died in hospital.

The collision, involving a car and an e-bike, happened on the Cork Road at about 7:45pm last Sunday evening.

The cyclist, an 18-year-old man, was taken to University Hospital Waterford with serious injures and has since died.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or has camera footage from the scene to come forward.
