Two men (30s) arrested after over €1m worth of cannabis seized in Meath

Two men, both aged in their 30s, have been arrested after gardaí seized €1,080,000 worth of herbal cannabis was seized in Co Meath on Thursday.

This seizure of approximately 54kg of herbal cannabis was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, and Revenue’s Customs Service.

The two men are currently detained at a Garda station in Co Meath under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
