Man charged in connection with Ballinlough death

A man has been charged by gardaí investigating the death of a woman in Cork earlier this week.
The woman in her late 50s died, and a man in his 60s was left in a serious condition, following a reported assault outside a property in the Ballinlough area on Monday night.
A man in his 20s was arrested following the incident outside the residence in Shrewsbury Downs at about 9.15pm.
On Wednesday, gardaí said they charged a man arrested at the scene, and he is due to appear in front of Cork City District Court on Wednesday afternoon.
