Three men who were arrested in connection with the seizure of €2.2 million worth of cannabis have since been charged in relation to the investigation.

All three men appeared before Letterkenny District Court on Monday morning after gardaí and Revenue officers seized approximately 112kg of cannabis in Lifford, Donegal, in April.

An Garda Síochána said it is not in a position to comment further, as the matter is before the Courts.

This drug seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Custom Service.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
