Foul play is not suspected in relation to the discovery of the body of a man in his 30s outside a residential property in Dundalk, Co Louth, on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the man, but gardaí said the results of the examination are not being released for operational reasons.

A file will now be prepared for the Coroner.

In a previous statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man after a body was discovered in Dundalk, Co. Louth, on the morning of Thursday, 13th November 2025.

"The deceased, a man in his 30s, was found shortly after 8:00am outside a residential property at Dúiche Roden. The Garda Technical Bureau is currently examining the scene, which remains sealed off at this time.

"The office of the State Pathologist and the local Coroner have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.

"A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to lead the investigation and an incident room has been established at Dundalk Garda Station. A Garda Family Liaison Officer is supporting the family of the deceased.

"The results of the post-mortem will assist investigating Gardaí in determining the course of the investigation.

"Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and are seeking any available camera footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were in the Dúiche Roden or Demesne Road areas of Dundalk overnight.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
