Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with the theft of over €5,700 worth of perfume from Dublin Airport on Thursday.

The arrests were made as part of Operation Táirge.

The two men, aged in their 50s and 40s, were arrested inside the terminal by members attached to Dublin Airport.

They have both been charged and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday morning.

Operation Táirge is part of An Garda Síochána’s crime prevention and reduction strategy supporting operational activity aimed at detecting and preventing Organised Retail Crime.
