Around 9kg of suspected ketamine with an estimated value of €540,000 has been seized at a residential premises in South Co Kildare.

A man in his 20s was arrested by gardaí and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a garda station in Kildare.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Newbridge Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service on Thursday, November 13th.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
