A man has been left in a critical condition in hospital after he was discovered following an incident in Drumlish, Co Longford, on Saturday.

At approximately 7:30 pm on that date, the man aged in his 60s was taken by ambulance to Mullingar General Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.

A technical examination was carried out at the scene.

The last known movements of the man were at Currabawn at approximately 7:00 pm on November 5th.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Currabawn/Mohill road, Drumlish area between 7:00 pm on Wednesday, 5th November 2025 and 6:30 pm on Saturday, 8th November, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
