Man arrested and another in custody over seizure of sub-machine gun

A man in his 40s has been charged, and another remains in custody after Gardaí seized a sub-machine gun during an operation targeting the supply of drugs into prisons in West Dublin.
The Dublin crime response team stopped a vehicle in the Dublin 22 area on Tuesday and later recovered a firearm during a follow-up search in North Wicklow.
The weapon is undergoing forensic testing, and investigations are continuing.
