A total of €105,000 worth of tobacco, cigarettes, and counterfeit goods has been seized in Co Galway.

The discoveries were made during searches of a home and vehicles in the Ballybane area on Thursday. 

The counterfeit items seized include electronic goods, fireworks, and designer clothes.

A man in his 50s was arrested and has since been released from custody, with a file being prepared for the DPP.
