Sixth man arrested following riots at Citywest Hotel

A sixth person has been arrested after violence flared outside Citywest Hotel in Saggart, Co Dublin, on Tuesday night.

A man in his 30s was arrested by gardaí on Tuesday afternoon, for an alleged offence of Violent Disorder.

He has been detained under section 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin Region.

The investigation is being led by a Senior Investigating Officer at an incident room based at Clondalkin Garda Station.

Seven people have so far been arrested

Five men have so far been charged and appeared in court on Tuesday.

The sixth person who was arrested, a woman aged in her 50s, was released without charge pending a file being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

All five were ordered to stay away from the hotel, with one man instructed to stay away from all IPAS centres.

The men, two of whom are aged in their 50s and three in their 40s, were scheduled to appear before the city’s Criminal Courts of Justice on Wednesday.
