As candidates and the public prepare for the upcoming presidential election, attention is turning to what qualities and values matter most to voters when deciding who will get their first-preference vote.

October 24th will see independent candidate Catherine Connolly, Fianna Fáil candidate Jim Gavin, and Fine Gael candidate Heather Humphreys appear on ballots.

From personal integrity to championing the Irish language, and independence from party politics to a vision for the nation’s future, we want to know what influences your decision at the ballot box.
