Man seriously injured in storm related incident in Co Donegal

A man has been injured following a storm-related incident in Co Donegal.

The incident happened at Letterkenny at 4.15 pm.

Gardaí have said as this incident is ongoing, there is no further information at this time.

There is currently a red warning in Donegal, with extremely strong and gusty winds that are likely to lead to fallen trees, damage to power lines, dangerous travelling conditions and structural damage.

Status Orange warnings are in place for Connacht and Clare until 10:00pm for near gale force to gale force and very gusty winds.

There is also a Status Yellow wind warning in place across Ireland until midnight and people should be wary of difficult travelling conditions, debris and loose objects and fallen trees.
