Man (60s) dies following workplace accident in Co Tipperary

A man has died following a workplace accident in Fethard, Co. Tipperary on Monday.

The incident happened shortly before 5:00 pm.

A man in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His body was removed to Waterford University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified and will conduct its own investigation.

A file will be prepared for the Coroner.
