Gardaí are investigating an alleged attempted abduction of a woman in Dublin’s north inner city.

The alleged abduction of the Romanian woman occurred at 2:40pm on Monday along Mountjoy Square in Dublin 1.

In a statement, gardaí confirmed that they “received a report of the alleged attempted abduction of an adult female”.

Gardaí said no injuries were reported and that investigations are ongoing.

Detectives based in Fitzgibbon Garda Station are leading the probe.
