Investigations continue after bodies of young girl and man found in Dublin

Investigations are continuing after the bodies of a man and a young girl were discovered at a house in Finglas in Dublin on Saturday night.

The home remains sealed off.

Gardaí were called to a house in the Heathfield estate in Finglas at the back of Cappagh Hospital at around 8pm on Satruday.

The remains of a man and a girl were found inside the house.

Forensic specialists are carrying out an examination and a post-mortem will be carried out in due course.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said that they are “investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery of the two bodies”.

Gardaí said are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the man and girl involved.
