A woman in her 70s has died after a single-vehicle collision in Co Kerry last week.

The collision occurred at around 1.45pm on the R557 at Ballyhorgan West, Lixnaw, Co Kerry, on Thursday, September 18th.

The driver was brought to University Hospital Kerry, and she has since died.

No other injuries were reported.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash cam, and were travelling on the R557 in the area of Ballyhorgan West between 1pm and 2pm on Thursday, September 18th, have been asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Anyone with any information should contact Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
