A man has been charged in connection with the seizure of €380,000 worth of cannabis in Dublin.

On Tuesday, Revenue officers seized approximately 19 kg of suspected herbal cannabis with an estimated value of approximately €380,000 in Dublin.

This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) West by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Drug Unit Serious Crime South and Revenue’s Customs Service.

The drugs seized are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested by gardaí in connection to the investigation.

He has since been charged and will appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Wednesday.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
