The damage is being assessed at a Dublin cocktail bar after a fire in the early hours of Friday morning.

Gardaí are treating it as arson as they investigate a burglary at the premises on Dawson Street.

The blaze at Peruke and Periwig caused the city centre route to be closed off for a time this morning.

The scene has been preserved for a technical exam, while no injuries have been reported.

This fire at the cocktail bar broke out shortly before 5am this morning.

It forced the closure of Dawston Street in both directions, while the Luas was suspended between St Stephens Green and Dominic, as emergency services put out the blaze.
