€236,855 in cash, 660 Polish zloty, nine passports, five driving licences and three identity cards were seized in Co Dublin on Monday.

The items were seized in Lucan as part of an investigation into money laundering under organised crime legislation after significant cash withdrawals were made from ATMs across Dublin and Cork between August 11th and September 9th 2025.

A total of €322,855 in cash has now been seized as part of the investigation.

The man in his 30s who was arrested on September 13th remains detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.

The woman in her mid-30s, also arrested on September 13th, has been released without charge, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
