Met Éireann has issued a yellow rain warning for five counties on Tuesday.

A yellow rain warning has been issued for Cork, Galway, Limerick, Clare, and Kerry from 6pm on Tuesday to 3am on Wednesday.

Met Éireann has warned of difficult travelling conditions, localised flooding, and poor visibility.

Monday night will be largely dry with clear spells developing, and just isolated showers mainly in the west.

In Ulster, more frequent and widespread showers will continue, beginning to ease by the morning. Lowest temperatures of eight to 12 degrees.

Tuesday will see dry and bright start for most with just isolated showers.

Cloud will build from the southwest through the morning with outbreaks of rain spreading northeastwards through the afternoon and evening, turning heavy at times particularly in the southwest.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.

Wednesday will be dry and blustery with isolated showers and sunny spells.

Met Éireann says "some more frequent showers may clip the south coast for a time in the morning" with temperatures reaching highs of 19 degrees.
