A status yellow rain warning has been issued for three counties.

Co Donegal, Co Leitrim and Co Sligo all fall under the warning until 10am on Friday, September 12th.

The warning came into effect at 10am on Thursday.

Met Éireann have warned of spells of heavy rain with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Potential impacts include localised flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travelling conditions.
