Ireland has emerged as one of the most popular global destinations for celebrities on private jets.

A study by Vacation Into Premium found Ireland is the 10th most active country for stars travelling in private planes, with 21 recorded last year.

These included visits by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and film producer David Geffen.

Shannon Airport hosted half of the celebrity private jet visits in 2024.

In the past, the likes of Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian have visited Ireland on prviate jets.

The United States was the most popular location for celebrity private jet visits, according to the study, with 5,200 flights.

Other destinations on the list included England, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the Bahamas, and Greece.
