A man in his 50s has died after a collision between two motorcycles in Co Kerry on Sunday.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which occurred at An Clochán on the R560 An Chonair (Conor Pass), Co Kerry on at approximately 4:45pm.

One of the motorcyclists, a man in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The male driver (60s) and female passenger (age unknown at this time) of the second motorcycle were brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The road remains closed overnight to facilitate technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4.30pm and 5pm this afternoon are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
