The Dublin Crime Response Team seized €56,500 and £50,040 of cash in Finglas, Dublin 11, on Friday.

Gardaí from the Dublin Crime Response Team carried out a planned search of a domestic residence in Finglas.

During the search conducted under warrant, gardaí seized €56,500 and £50,040 in cash.

A man (20s) was arrested at the scene and brought to a Garda Station in west Dublin, where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
