Man (38) charged with phone thefts at Electric Picnic

A man accused of stealing mobile phones at the 2025 Electric Picnic festival was brought before Portlaoise District Court on Monday.

The 38-year-old faces charges in relation to five phones at the Stradbally site, on the last day of the festival at the weekend.

Defendant Pelu Sava, 18 Fortunestown Close, Tallaght, Dublin 24, is charged with stealing four mobile phones in the main arena and handling one stolen phone at Cosby House on Sunday, August 31st.

Judge Susan Fay remanded him on his own bail until the October 6th sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
