Gardaí in Kildare seize Porsche for no tax or insurance
Gardaí in Kildare seized a Porsche which had no tax and insurance, while the driver also faces several serious offences.
The An Garda Síochána Kildare Facebook page said gardaí detected the vehicle travelling at 149km/h in a 120km/h zone during a recent speed check on the M7 at Mayfield, south Kildare.
After stopping the vehicle, members of the Naas road policing unit discovered the vehicle had no tax and insurance, the driver was disqualified from driving, and he also failed a roadside drugs test for cocaine.
The motorist will now appear before a court while also facing some costly FCPNs.
“An Garda Síochána reminds all drivers: speeding, driving without insurance, or driving under the influence places lives at risk,” concluded gardaí.
