As part of an operation targeting an organised crime group suspected of being involved in business and residential burglaries, as well as the theft of high-value vehicles, An Garda Síochána arrested a man in his 20s on Wednesday.

The arrest was made following an intelligence-led operation involving Garda members from the Clare/Tipperary Division and the Southern Region Support Units.

The man arrested in connection with this investigation is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at a Garda Station in the Southern Region.

Gardaí said this investigation remains ongoing.
