Three men, arrested in connection with a serious assault in Co Mayo, have been released without charge.

A man in his 20s was seriously injured in an alleged attack on the Tucker Street area of Castlebar in the early hours of Saturday August 23rd.

Three men who were arrested on Tuesday morning have since been released without charge.

Gardaí say a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and investigations are ongoing.
