A man has been left seriously injured following an assault in Bray, Co Wicklow, in the early hours of Sunday.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident on the Dublin Road at approximately 1.25 am.

A male, aged in his 20s, was removed from the scene to St. Vincent's University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

The scene was preserved for technical examination which has since been completed.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Dublin Road in Bray between 1:00am and 2:00am on the 31st August 2025 are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
