A man in his 20s is to appear in court on Saturday morning in relation to a serious assault in Temple Bar in Dublin.

A man in his 40s remains in a critical condition in Beaumont Hospital after the attack.

It happened in Temple Bar Square in the early hours of Thursday, August 21st.

The man is due to appear before the Dublin District Court at 10:30am on Saturday.
