Gardaí have arrested two men following a seizure of €980,000 worth of cocaine by Revenue Officers at Dublin Port on Monday.

Approximately 14kg of suspected cocaine, with an estimated value of €980,000, was seized by Revenue Officers following the search of a car which had disembarked from a ferry.

The two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a Garda Station in Dublin.

They have both been charged and are due to appear before the evening sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice Dublin on Wednesday.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
