Two men in their 20s, a driver and a passenger on a scrambler bike, have been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Dublin.

The collision between the scrambler and a van occurred at the junction of Collins Avenue and the Ballymun Road at around 3.35pm on Monday.

Both men have been taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries; however, the passenger's condition has been described as critical.

No other injuries were reported, and the road was closed but has since reopened.
