A man in his 40s has died in a crash in Co Limerick.

The two-car collision happened on the N20 at Ballyouragan in Croom at about 7.25am on Thursday morning.

A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be serious injuries.

The road remains closed, and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
