A man has died following a two-vehicle collision involving an e-scooter in Blanchardstown, Co Dublin on Sunday.

The collision involved an e-scooter and a car and occurred at approximately 10:50pm.

The driver of the e-scooter, a man aged in his 30s, was removed from the scene to James Connolly Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

No other injuries have been reported at the time.

The road was closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10:40pm and 11:00pm, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
