A man in his 40s has been seriously injured after the car he was driving was involved in a two car collision in Kerrykeel, in County Donegal.

A teenage girl who was a passenger in the same car did not require hospital treatment.

The driver of the second car, a woman in her 70s was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for assessment.

Gardaí in Milltown are looking for witnesses to the collision, which happened at 10:45am on Saturday morning on Main Street.

The scene has been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and traffic diversions are in place.
