A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck in south Dublin.

The incident happened on Ballyboden Way in Dublin 16 at 8:30am on Friday morning.

The man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

A technical examination has taken place and the road has re-opened.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
