Man (50s) arrested in connection with death of woman in Co Tipperary

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, in August 2024.

The body of the woman was discovered at a residence at St Joseph's Park.

The woman, aged in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

A murder investigation was launched following her death.

A man in his 50s was arrested in connection to the investigation, and is currently being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí said investigations were ongoing.
