A female pedestrian in her 60s has been seriously injured after being hit by a truck on Main Street, Gorey, Co Wexford, on Friday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision at around 10.45am.

The woman was brought to St Vincent's University Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.

Investigations are ongoing, a garda statement said.
