Young man (20s) dies in Laois car crash
A man in his 20s has died in a car crash in Co Laois.
The single-car crash happened on the R445 at Ballaghmore near Borris-In-Ossory at about 3.15am on Thursday.
The driver of the car and sole occupant, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Portlaoise for a postmortem.
The road remains closed this morning and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
