Met Éireann has issued a status yellow fog warning for most of the country on Thursday morning.

The warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, and Munster until 9am.

Road users are being warned of poor visibility.

The fog will linger along southern and eastern fringes for a time.

Once the fog clears, it is set to be a nice day, with long spells of summer sunshine developing.

Met Éireann said it will become warm or very warm, with top temperatures of 21 to 26 degrees, in light to moderate southeast breezes.
