A motorcyclist in his 40s, has been airlifted to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries following a collision on Sunday afternoon.

The collision involving a car and a motorbike – occurred at around 12:30pm at Killourney on the R460 between Tubber and Gort.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12:00pm and 12:40pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
