Cyclist (80s) dies after road collision in Co Kerry

A cyclist in his 80s has died after a road collision in Co Kerry.

The incident happened in the Church Grounds area of Kilgarvan shortly after 1.40pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Gardaí said the coroner had been informed and a postmortem will take place.

The R569 road remains closed. Drivers going to and from Kenmare are being told to travel via Killarney and Moll's Gap on the N71.
