The man was treated at the scene and brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry, but he's since been taken to Cork University Hospital where his injuries are serious.

A man in his 20s has been seriously injured in a collision in Co Kerry.

He was driving a car which crashed on the N72 at Fossa shortly before 3am on Sunday morning.

He was the only person in the car in the single-vehicle collision.

The man was treated at the scene and brought by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry, but he is since been taken to Cork University Hospital where his injuries are serious.

The scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
