A man (20s) has been arrested and since released by gardaí from the Serious Crime Unit in Irishtown, Dublin, investigating multiple reports of accommodation fraud.

The man was arrested on Friday, May 9th.

The alleged incidents of fraud reported to gardaí by injured parties are understood to have occurred in the South Dublin Area over September and October 2024.

The man was detained for questioning at a garda station in the Eastern Region.

He has since been released from custody, and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The investigation is ongoing, a garda statement said.
