A man has been arrested after gardaí seized €100,000 of cocaine in Killarney, Co Kerry on Friday.

This followed a search of a residence in the town on Friday.

During the course of this search, suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €100,000 was recovered.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.

One man aged in his 30s has been arrested in connection with this seizure.

He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the county.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
