A man in his 60s has died in a farm accident in Co Tipperary.

The incident occurred at 11.30am on Tuesday in Ardfinnan, and gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of the man on a farm.

Emergency services were called, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford (UHW) for a post-mortem examination, the results of which will determine the course of the garda investigation.

In a statement, gardaí said that the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was notified and attended the scene. The County Coroner has been notified, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.

Foul play is not suspected, and garda investigations are ongoing.
